    Everybody's Back!
School is so nice now that everybody's here again. I really liked it by myself for a while I guess, but now it just seems more whole. In other news, I just got back from a 6 mile bike ride to Pawtucket! They have some biiig cemeteries in Pawtucket.

    Back at School
It seems very odd that I've only been back here two days. Already my room is full with my stuff and some of Bob's and some of the Band's that is temporarily mine and it's beginning to feel like home. Tonight after rehearsal I headed over to the Rock to get out 'The Great Cat Massacre and other stories; a cultural history of France in the Middle Ages' because it looked good when Kirk read it to us in Euro, then I hit up a 'freshman orientation' ice cream social with the rest of the upperclass, danced for a few hours at CLUB HELL with Jenny Ojus and Lisa and finished up with another hour and a half or drumming videos with Ojus. And that's not even counting all the deep throat and pool last night. Tomorrow I get a bike back though, which means I'll be more mobile. Party on. The other funny thing is that I miss my high school friends more this year than I did last year when it seemed like I was leaving forever. I guess it just comes of growing up a bit. 'Slut, to eat the flesh and drink the blood of your grandmother.' Ten points if you can tell me who said that.

    EGG
Oh man, I just got complemented by the Egg. Who ever thought THAT would happen? And then he spoke to me in a friendly conversational tone for a few minutes while we cleared the stage off. Incredible.

In other news, this has been the first week of FWE (and ergo my first week of work this summer) and it's been going well. Some of the music is very difficult this year, but that's what keeps it fun. And my windows are fixed. That also keeps things fun.

    HARDCORE!!
So I was practicing tonight and around hour 1.5 I heard some spit come out the G# (happens sometimes and it's so annoying). So I looked down and it was RED. Yes that's right, my tongue was bleeding and my reed was bright red on the back. How cool is THAT?

    Radio
Well, I've been here at college for about a month now, and it's a pretty cool place. I guess if you want to know all about it, you'll have to ask. But a good place to start is right now! I'm almost done with a bio problem set, due in 5 hours, and I was just on the radio! As was the Big Heidelberg. So for all you Heidelberg fans, tune in to WBRU weeknights from 2-5:30 AM for the sweetest jazz music that is played. Or whatever we feel like putting on. That's right, Nate's on the radio, and Nat's on the radio, and what's the world gonna do now? And Illinois Jacquett is playing bassoon on the radio to Caravan, so that's what there is to say about that. And the fact With an environmental variance of 5, initial allele frequency of .5, and genotypic values of 5, 10, and 15, the heritability vs frequency graphs look pretty sweet. Holla

    School
I'm leaving for school September 1. I have a phone, a minifridge, a rug, a big framed picture of a little boat, and a stuffed donkey. Gah!? It's not a feeling that's very easy to quantify, but I think I'm finally understanding what I always loved about high school by knowing that it's finally gone forever. The people I'm going to miss most are the friends I saw between classes or after school in the lobby or at lunch in the green room- the ones who I never hung out with on the weekends or the summers because I knew I could count on them being there monday morning through friday afternoon.
If anyone can make it, SIDES is playing at the All Asia Cafe monday night at 10. It's a quick walk from the MIT/Kendall square T station and should be fun. $5 cover charge. Asian food. Live jazz/funk. And if y'all miss that, you'd better come say hi at Brown, because I'll be waiting.

    Peace out

    Blue Man Group!
This morning I found out the secret to Liberty Pole. It was such an awe inspiring event I can't even begin to describe it. I was driving home and had some spare time and was just like, 'wtf, why don't I try to find my way around in here for once?'

    AND I DID!

I found Pam's house and Ari's house and Josh's house and the other Josh's house all in one try and it was awesome.

And no, I've never seen blueman group.
